Halloween 2008

Hello everyone, Can you believe I am actually blogging and getting pictures up the day after I took them. I cant! I'm still a little surprised myself. But Baker looked so cute yesterday I had to post these quickly. Especially because all these other "Super Mom's" got pics up last night. Ok Kristin Get to the point.

Here are the pics :)

Baker with some of his second Cousins (Kevin, Baker and Jovie) They are all really close in age and I love that we all live in the same town!

Baker was having so much fun in the leaves with Emo.

After a long night of being flash he decided to give it up and switch to superman :0)

And he finished the night with a little beerpong with dad!
P.S. I have a couple videos that I want to share but they take so long to upload on this thing that I am going to put them up on youtube. If your interested search Baker Samuel Halloween and you will find all Bakers famous videos :)

Fall Fun with Baker

>Sorry everyone. I know its been awhile since I have blogged. Like I've said before I'm not the best at keeping up with things. I get stuck on myspace and next thing you know an hour has passed Baker is up from his nap and I don't have time to blog. But Baker has been doing some really fun stuff and I wanted to share them with everyone.
Jitterbug
Baker has started a fun music, dance, activity class that he does once a week. I get to do it with Baker so it is great bonding time for me and him and he LOVES running around and playing with other kids which we don't get much time for since he stays at home with me or Tyson all day. Baker is learning a bunch of new skills there. The teacher is great with the kids and teaches the parents why she is doing certain things. Its so much fun I wish it was more than once a week. Its the first class I have found that is for kids as young as Baker. I have been trying to get him into something so this was perfect. He plays music instruments (his favorite part) he does obstacle courses which he also loves, nursery rhymes and practices taking turns (not his favorite part) but he is pretty good at it surprisingly. He only cries when it is time to leave.:)
Dog park
We have also been going to the NEW dog park that got put in about a half a mile from our house. We take Baker and the "BOYS" down there as much as we can and let the dogs really run. The other day we went and there was about 20 other big dogs there. So I have to hold Baker most of the time. But today we went and our dogs were the biggest so we let Baker down to roam with the dogs :) He loved it and found a dirt pile to dig in so he fit right in with the dogs. He has just turned into a little boy all of a sudden. He is so much fun.
Here are pics from the park and videos from Jitterbug. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Pumpkin Patch

Tyson and I took Baker and Emo to the pumpkin patch this passed weekend. We usually wait until mid October to go out to Klickers but this year we decided to start Halloween early. We will never wait again. There were the biggest pumpkins ever out there. They were perfect. We ended up getting a 50 lb. pumpkin. We were pretty excited and we got some really good pictures of Baker.

Here is a video of Baker trying to pick up all the pumpkins if you listen carefully you can hear him say "Ball" He thought he was in ball heaven :) Man my baby is cute hahahah

Fun New Pictures

Baker Rocking Daddy's hat

Than he got to meet Garfield. Baker probably thought all the kids were looking at him. He loves being the center of attention.

Baker had a Slumber Party with Emiliano here they are playing the drums.

Here they are ready for bed. My two favorite boys!

Lots to Post

First Coug Game

Baker attended his first ever Cougar Football game 2 weekends ago at Qwest Field. We are so lucky to have great friends in Seattle that let us stay at their house all weekend, the Hintons! We love you guys tons. Baker and Hailey had as much fun as Hailey could possible have being only 3 1/2 months old. Baker loved her a lot and talked to her in this really pitch voice. I think he was trying to be sweet but who knows. Baker really loved their dog Emma who is also a golden retriever and Baker felt right at home chasing her around. I know she was more then ready for us to leave on Monday. We headed down to the coug game Saturday Morning and had Baker all "couged out" he was adorable :). He loved the game and actually let us watch the whole first half without getting up once. I was impressed since he is only 1 and doesn't sit still at all! We walked around a lot the second half and showed Baker all the stuff at Qwest field. Also a lot of drunk Cougar girls wanted to take Bakers pictures so he really thought he was the star and loved EVERY minute of it. We had so much fun but were more then ready to get back to Joe and Gina's after the game. P.S. I don't recommend driving in the same car with a 3 1/2 month old and a one year old in Seattle traffic :)

The girls and our babies! Except mine is a little heavier.

Baker hanging out at the coug game. Loving all the attention

One happy Cougar family

Bumbershoot
During the same weekend we were lucky enough to get tickets from some of Gina and Joe's good friends for Bumbershoot. (Thanks Ian and Julie) I had never been and had no idea what bumbershoot was. I soon realized it was a BUNCH of concerts going on in one local spot. It was like a high class fair I guess. At that moment I was remembering how much fun it was not to have children. I would have loved this place about 2 years ago. But pushing a stroller and a crabby baby around a very crowded place made it not quite the same. Non the less we saw some really great performers and had a good lunch and then drove back to Joe and Gina's and had some really great sushi. :)

Wine Stomp Weekend
After a long weekend in Seattle it was nice to stay home for a weekend and relax. Every year Tyson's parents winery has a grape stomping event for all the Basel Cellars Wine Members. No we aren't members but we got the family connection :) This is pretty much a fun wine party where half of the proceeds go to charity and everyone has a really good time. There is a band and appetizers and lots of grape stomping. This year baker got to get in on the stomping and loved it so much! We can't wait until next year!

Baker's first step into the grapes.

He loved it so much he wanted his clothes off and to sit right down in them.

People thought it was so cute they were helping me pose Baker.

And the result is a ruined onsie but believe me it was well worth it. He had so much fun.

Scarface Baby

Bakers first major wound. Read blog below for more info

First trip to the ER

Well Baker had his first trip to the Emergency room last night. He was playing with some of his friends and decided to take a running jump towards mommy, he tripped on a dog and did a face plant right onto the sharp corner of the couch. Pretty much ripping off his eyebrow in the process. I of course freaked out. I tried to wipe away the blood to see if it was really that bad or if the blood just made it look bad. After realizing Baker wasn't going to let me just wipe away the blood I made the decision to take him in to the hospital. He was fine other then the blood running into his eye. He stopped crying and wanted to run around the hospital. I didn't think the hospital would like Bakers Blood everywhere so I had to hold him which really pissed him off. Then his Binky fell on the ground and the nurse said that we couldn't use it anymore. AHHHHH come on no Binky.
To make a long story short we had 20 minutes of hell holding him down to apply the medicine (i said screw the nurse cleaned off the Binky and used that after about 10 minutes of screaming) Then the very nice Dr. came in and literally super glued the cut together. Its about a inch and a half long now and doesn't look pretty at all, but the good news is the Dr said in 15 years you wont even know it happened. Sweet 15 years huh. Anyway my camera's batterie is dead so I haven't got a picture yet but I'm hoping to by the end of the day. Ill post it soon.
P.S. Baker is doing great and spending the morning with his grandpa dan and grandma Dana :) They love the scarface baby even with the cuts :)

Seaside Beach

This last weekend we took a 4 day trip over to the Oregon Coast. The weather was nice considering we could have been home in 105 degree heat or there in 60 degree fog. Either way we are super glad we went and spent the weekend with family. My aunt Debbi rented a HUGE beach house for everyone,,, which ment 4 kids and 8 adults. We love everyone very much but decided to get a hotel room to sleep and shower. My cousin Charlie and his wife came down and brought there 3 very adorable kids Jarek almost 7, Logan almost 4,, and Tea 2 1/2. They were all so sweet to Baker and Baker just loved all the attention.
We had a great time and even stoped at the Portland zoo on the way home. We cant wait to do it again. I didnt take as many pictures as I usually do so im a little disapointed but the fair is coming up and I will post tons then. And after that we get to go visit the Hintons and watch a coug game and I promise to post lots of pics.

Finger painting

Grandma Dana got Baker a very cool table and chair set for his birthday, along with tons of fun stuff to do projects with. We started off with the baby markers and crayons and moved up to Fingerpainting. He didnt really understand the concept yet but it was super fun to try it with him. And he looked so cute in his smock! When he started eatting the paint I figured that was time to throw in the towel and try again at a later date :) Here are some pics of the differant project times we have had.
P.S. Having a one year old is SOOOO much fun.

These first two pics are us practiing with some little kid markers. I was a little worried about the paint so we decided to practie. The problem was those markers ended up to be more messy then the paint!

Ok let the fingerpainting Begin.

First off we got to but on this really cool smock. I mean this thing covers everything.

So as soon as he put his hand in the paint. The screaming began. He pretty much just wanted to run around outside. He didnt want to sit still and paint.

Ok mom if you wont let me down then I will just EAT the paint. Here is Baker with Paint all in his mouth. Awesome Baker that must taste good!
We will attempt the painting project again in a couple weeks. I will keep you all posted. :)
